Just for Show is a dance-based show by DV8 described by The Times "as startlingly beautiful... overwhelmingly cinematic... exquisitely corporeal and intimate." Just for Show is about showing and showing off in a world where looking good has become more essential than being good.

Using virtual projection, visual illusion and word play, the international cast explore the importance of appearance and image in life. With a cast and crew nearly 30 strong, Just for Show features original music by John Hardy.

Showing from March to December 2005 at UK venues such as the National Theatre and touring to the Czech Republic, Korea, Taiwan, Ireland, UK, Switzerland, Serbia & Montenegro, Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Germany and France, the show was described by the Parisian newspaper Le Figaro as "Dazzling from the first scene to the last."

DV8 is a physical theatre company led by Lloyd Newson. The company has produced 15 highly acclaimed dance pieces which have toured internationally, and five award-winning films for television. Find out more about DV8.
