Ed Scolding
Development
Ed was born in Wales, studied Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, then took an MMus in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music, in London, where he is now based.
Ed is busy composer for concert, opera and film, with his score for the UK-produced independent film Mile End (2015) winning Best Original Feature Score at the International Music & Sound Awards. Ed is deeply involved in advocacy for musicians and music through his work as a board member at the Incorporated Society of Musicians and has built a strong profile in music education, founding Greenwich Music School in 2015.
Ed is John's nephew and has been working for John Hardy Music since 2006, with a focus on marketing, development and visual design, and on the sister label Ffin Records.
