Cwpan Caerdydd (Cardiff's Cup)

A special programme celebrating the 80th anniversary of the greatest moment in football club Cardiff City's history - the FA Cup win of 1927. Their win at Wembley made them the first and only team outside England to win what was then called the "English" Cup.

South Wales Football Echo 1927- "Men and women, old and young, rent the air with their excited cheers- hats flew in the air and every conceivable coloured streamers were waved violently above their heads."

Cwpan Caerdydd is narrated by Dafydd Hywel, directed by Wynford Jones and produced by Richard J. Staniforth. Music by John Hardy with Hugh Fowler at John Hardy Music.

The programme was broadcast at 9pm on Monday 16 April by S4C.
