Ar y Tracs (On the Tracks) is a festive comedy by Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey) with Catrin Dafydd. Set on board the Swansea to London train, the drama shows the different characters thrown together by the journey.

“For many people, travelling on a train is part of their Everyday routine, but for others it's an event - maybe only an annual event. I just love the idea of there being all these different people from different backgrounds with different things going on in their lives, all going on the same journey.” (Ruth Jones)

Ar y Tracs won two 2009 BAFTA Cymru awards for Best Sound (Gareth Meirion Thomas / Simon H Jones) and Best Costume (Ffion Elinor), receiving two further nominations for Best Editor (Mali Evans) and Best Director: Film/Drama (Ed Talfan).

The drama was first broadcast by S4C on December 20th 2009 at 9pm with English subtitles available. The 'making-of' documentary was broadcast on December 18th.
