Bregus

We were very excited to be approached to write the music for this innovative and brave series created and produced by Fiction Factory Films. Although we were approached about it before the pandemic hit, we weren’t scheduled to start composing for it until a month or so later, meaning the series, as many other productions, was indefinitely postponed. We were thrilled to hear late in 2020 that it would be filmed early in 2021 and that we would be composing to picture shortly after.

Composing as a team over online conference apps presented its own set of unique challenges on top of what was already going to be a tricky score to complete to our satisfaction. However, out of the processes that we were forced into arose some novel working methods and elegant solutions to what we had worried would be sticking points for our work. We are proud of the score that we have produced, as a team in our own homes, and we hope that it matches the international level performances and production qualities that this series boasts.

The series is currently on iPlayer and S4C’s own CLIC player for catch up (April 2021).
